Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco - a Canadian and American singer/songwriter. She has more than twenty albums. DiFranco categorizes her music as folk-rock and alternative, but it also contains influences such as hip-hop, punk and jazz. Ani Difranco is believed to be a feminist hero and Grammy award-winning. In the beginning, as one of the early female musicians in the 90s, she founded her own label. DiFranco was born on the 23rd of September, 1970, in Buffalo New York. Her parents were Elizabeth (Ross), from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Dante Americo DiFranco. Her mother and father were both of Montreal descent. Ani DiFranco composed and sang 32 Flavors. The song debuted in 1995 on the sixth album Not a Pretty Girl. It was featured on the soundtrack of 1999's Canadian romantic film Better Than Chocolate is a version of the song. DiFranco apologized in 2013 when it was reported that she was planning to hold the three-day workshop on the Louisiana plantation for slaves. The course was later cancelled but she didn't show any regret. DiFranco offered a second apology a few days later. She is known for her Little Folksinger songs, however she's collaborated with many artists and genres that range from Pete Seeger to Chuck D. She is from New Orleans. Ani diFranco, and Kristen Ford are together. In 14 years she began making her own songs. She played them at cafes and bars throughout her teenage years. DiFranco started attending Buffalo State College when she was 16 aged. She graduated in the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts in the year she was 16. This guitar is built out of solid wood with an ebony top and cedar sides. It also has an System 600 Preamp. DiFranco lives at home with her two kids at home in New Orleans and Lefty, their sidekick long-legged canine that is never out of the frame. DiFranco has admitted that, nearly three decades after her first appearance on the music scene, she feels mixed when she looks at her past.
